Fruits offered at the Strawberry Buffet Party

On March 14, Strawberry Buffet Party, a strawberry-themed buffet, began at the Faveur Parloir on the first floor of Shiroyama Hotel Kagoshima.

The café holds the event every year from winter to spring. It was scheduled for January this year but postponed due to the pandemic. In addition to all-you-can-eat strawberries, the event offers various fruits, including pineapple, and cakes. It also prepared a commercial-variety strawberry tasting set for each guest. Three different varieties of strawberries are offered each day, including Pikaichigo and Satsuma Otome from Kagoshima Prefecture and white Angel Eight strawberries.

Mini parfaits are available on request. The previously served Chocolate Fountain has been changed to Chocolate Fondue.

During the period, the café runs an Instagram campaign. Posting with the hashtags #shiroyamahotelkagoshima and #ファヴールパーラー, the submitter of the photo chosen as the “most Instagrammable” will receive one of the café’s parfaits.

The event runs from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Reservations are required at least two days in advance. Prices are 3,000 yen for adults, 1,400 yen for elementary school students, 500 yen for preschool children (3-5 years old), and free for children under three years old. Although this event ends on March 31, the staff in charge says, “We plan to continue it in April and beyond.”
