‘Kurashi Summit’ to be held in Kagoshima: 16 workshops, stalls, food trucks available

The event “Kurashi Summit (Living Summit)” will take place on May 14 and 15 at Kanmacheer in Kagoshima City. Nihon Gas Co. Ltd. will host the event.
The event will feature various living-related activities. The first event took place in 2019 when the company realized that it “wanted to provide valuable moments not only in the gas business but also as a company that supports people’s ways of life.” This second edition will be held for the first time in three years, following cancellations of planned events due to the pandemic.
Sixteen groups will offer workshops at the event. Some of the highlights include Beeswax Food Wrap Making (hosted by NatuEco Life Market.), Dried Flower Ornaments & Cardboard Art (naganomegumi), Hands-on Experience of a Traditional Ceramic Art Technique “Kakiotoshi” (Factory17), T-shirts and Sacoche Silk-Screen Printing (never again), Foot View Clinic Experience, and K-pop Dance Class for Parents and Children (ERG). Participation fees range from 300 yen to 2,200 yen (The dance class is free).
Five bakeries and sweets stores will have stalls, offering Drinkable Cheesecake (Kujira Cafe), Quiche (Le Cadeau), Seasonal Fruit Sandwiches (Offji, only on the 14th), and other items. There will also be seven food trucks.
Opening hours: 10:00 am. – 5:00 p.m. Free admission.
