Satsumano Ramen opens in Kagoshima Li-Ka 1920, serving Kagoshima ramen with modern twist
Satsumano Classic ramen
On May 19, Satumano Ramen (Phone: 099-297-5507) opened on the first floor of the Kagoshima Chuo Station building Li-Ka 1920.
It is an affiliate of Satumano Yakiniku, a grilled meat restaurant that opened this January on Shichimikouji Street in Temmonkan. The restaurant serves Kagoshima ramen with a modern twist while maintaining the traditional flavor. The floor space is approximately 30 square meters, and it seats 13 people.
In the early days of its opening, the restaurant will only serve Satsumano Classic ramen (900 yen). The noodles, soup, and chashu pork are homemade, and the soup is made with pork bone broth and Kuro Satsuma chicken broth sourced in the prefecture. The restaurant also focuses on “local production for local consumption” for its other ingredients. The bowls used to serve ramen are Ryumonji ware, a type of Japanese pottery referred to as Black Satsuma.
The restaurant plans to add chicken rice and other dishes to its menu soon.
Opening hours: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – 23:30 p.m. (11:00 a.m. – 23:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays). Closed on the third Wednesday of the month.
