Nintendo pop-up store to open at Amu Plaza Kagoshima at the end of September
Examples of Nintendo TOKYO products
On September 30, an official pop-up store of Nintendo TOKYO will open on the third floor of Amu Plaza Kagoshima.
Nintendo TOKYO is the only directly managed store by the company in Japan, which opened inside Shibuya PARCO in November 2019. In addition to selling game consoles, software, peripherals, and character-themed products, the store offers events and game experiences, making it the “hub of information transmission” operated by Nintendo.
Pop-up stores will appear at JR Hakata City and Amu Plaza Kumamoto from September 2 to 25 and at Amu Plaza Kagoshima from September 30.
The pop-up store will offer original merchandise featuring Super Mario, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, and Splatoon, among others. At the Center Square on the second floor of Amu Plaza, a booth will also be set up where visitors can win items themed on Splatoon 3, Nintendo’s action shooting game, by playing the Ichiban Kuji Lottery, sold by Bandai Spirits. Twenty-four types of products in seven categories can be won, mainly practical items that incorporate the game’s worldview.
On August 25, a city tram featuring characters from Splatoon 3 will begin running in Kagoshima City (until October 10).
The pop-up store will run through October 10.
