Hamburger restaurant Always Café opens in Kagoshima, 8 toppings available
The exterior of Always Café
It has been almost two months since the hamburger restaurant Always Café opened in Shimofukumotocho, Kagoshima City.
The restaurant opened its doors on August 22. Manabu Sunasaka, the owner, also has a food truck, Always Burger, and has been offering American-style hamburgers at events throughout Kagoshima Prefecture. Since the reduction of business hours and other factors no longer affected his business, he decided to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant.
Sunasaka designed the interior in the style of the American West Coast, with twelve seats at tables and four at the counter.
Customers can create burgers in the made-to-order style, allowing them to add toppings and other items. For example, with the Standard Burger (715 yen) as a base, customers can choose from eight toppings (33 yen to 220 yen) such as cheese, avocado, bacon, and patty to add to their burger. The restaurant also offers a potato set and a chicken nugget set, and customers can choose a takeout option.
Sunasaka will continue to operate the food truck business, and the restaurant will be closed during events. In November, he plans to have a booth at the Ibusho Department Store run by students from Ibusuki Commercial High School.
Sunasaka invites customers to stop by the restaurant when visiting Hirakawa Zoo or other nearby leisure facilities.
Opening hours: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Closed on Tuesdays.
