Fiore, eaten while holding it like a crepe

The pizza and coffee shop QUESTA È PIZZA/Mulberry COFFEE (Phone: 090-8464-2603) opened on July 1 on the first floor of the commercial facility Li-Ka1920 in front of Kagoshima Chuo Station.

It is managed by Mulberry, which operates two other establishments in the vicinity of Chuo Station: Italian Izakaya Il piccolo BACARO and TRATTORIA VESVIO. Hoping to support aspiring entrepreneurs, the company appointed AYURI and TAICHI, third-year university students, as store managers. Many of the other staff members are also students.

The shop features two brands, a pizza shop and a coffee stand, under the same roof, and the name incorporates both brands. The logo of the pizza brand resembles a piece of pizza as volcanic fume from Sakurajima. While takeout sales are the main focus, there are also table and counter seats available for dining in.

Pizzas are available in two sizes: Fiore, which can be eaten while holding it like a crepe, and Grande, a regular pizza (approximately 25 cm). The options include Margherita, Marinara, and Quattro Formaggi, to name a few, with prices ranging from 550 yen. Italian beer and wine by the glass are also available to complement the pizzas.

The coffee menu offers classic options such as drip coffee, espresso, and cafe latte, as well as Crystal au Lait and chamomile tea, with prices starting from 400 yen. It also provides a coffee pot delivery service.

“We want to popularize the unique Fiore style in Kagoshima,” says store manager Yuna Fujisaki. They plan to introduce frozen pizzas that are rapidly frozen after baking in July.
