Inside Menya Aburaya - Tenmonkan Branch
On June 30, the ramen restaurant Menya Aburaya Tenmonkan opened on Tenmonkan Nigiwai-dori in Kagoshima City.
Matsunoya Foods manages the restaurant. With its main branch situated in Usuki, it also opened the OPSIA Misumi branch in March of this year. The Tenmonkan branch marks its third location. Takayuki Matsuzaki, the president, mentioned plans to open three more branches in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, next year.
The new restaurant features eight counter seats and three tables accommodating eight people. With international customers in mind, the restaurant updated its logo to an English design, and the menu is now available in English, Chinese, and Korean.
The soup is made from Kyushu-sourced beef bones, simmered over high heat for 10 hours to create a rich white broth, “Paitan.” The menu includes Gyukotsu Paitan Ramen (840 yen) and Gyukotsu Paitan Char Siu Noodles (1,100 yen). The Tenmonkan branch has expanded its selection of spicy menu items, offering dishes such as Gyukotsu Paitan Spicy Ramen (940 yen) and Gyukotsu Tantanmen (960 yen).
Matsuzaki said, “We hope that people in Tenmonkan will enjoy our unique Gyukotsu Paitan ramen. We provide paper aprons, so so please stop by even when you are dressed up.”
Opening hours: 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
