On July 8, the American casual fashion and motorcycle store MONKEY WRENCH opened in Gionnosu, Kagoshima City.

The store had been operating as an American casual wear store for five and a half years in Tenmonkan. The owner, Shohei Kusadome, also a Harley-Davidson motorcycle mechanic, decided to relocate and transform the business into an apparel and motorcycle store. The store’s name is derived from the adjustable wrench.

The store has a floor area of approximately 83 square meters. Inside the store, there is a variety of items, such as T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, jackets, hats, jeans, and helmets, as well as leather products, such as wallets and belts, made in collaboration with a workshop in Aira. The store handles six American casual brands. Kuradome says, “Currently, we are the only store in Kagoshima offering these brands, and we want to expand the variety in the future.” It also has an attached garage, where motorcycle maintenance can be done, and sells complete custom motorcycles.

Kuradome added, “I want to make this a rest stop and destination for touring motorcyclists. Please drop by.”

Opening hours: Noon – 8:00 p.m. Closed on Wednesdays.
