It has been two months since the opening of the yoga studio Coralful Journey – Kagoshima Chuo near Kagoshima-Chuo Station.
The studio opened on April 1. The producer, Suzuki Takahisa, has been a professional dancer for 10 years and trained under SAM from the dance and vocal group TRF. In addition to performing as a dancer, he has established many dance studios, but for the past few years, he has been increasingly attracted to yoga. Suzuki said: “Running a yoga studio has a lot in common with running a dance studio. The recent COVID-19 pandemic has made health and mental health care more important, which is why I decided to open a yoga studio.”
The size of the studio is 80 square meters. The interior is based on a white color scheme to create a “stylish and cozy space.” The name of the studio, Coralful, was coined in the hope that the studio would thrive as long as coral, which symbolizes longevity, and the progress of the studio is expressed in the word Journey.
Lessons include CJ Standard, where people can learn basic yoga; CJ Flow, which is a style of Vinyasa Flow yoga with no fixed movements; Fit Class, which includes elements of relaxation yoga, stretch yoga, and Pilates; and Intellectual Training yoga, where parents can learn with their children. “We offer a wide variety of classes that are stimulating,” said Suzuki. “We also offer fasting classes, aromatherapy classes, and events such as candlelight yoga and yoga in the park.”
“It’s been three months since I opened this studio, and the number of lessons has increased significantly. The effects of yoga are maximized when it becomes a habit. We want to make yoga a part of everyone’s lifestyle and want to make this a place where everyone can grow together, including us. Whether you are just starting yoga or an experienced practitioner, you can find a lesson that suits you here, so come and join us in our trial lesson,” he added.
