On August 6 and 11, Candlelight Yoga sessions will be held at Coralful Journey Kagoshima Chuo, a yoga studio near Kagoshima Chuo Station.

The studio, which opened in April, focuses on the concept that “everyone is beautiful and attractive.” They aim to promote physical and mental health through yoga and to bring out the unique beauty of each individual. “Candlelight Yoga is a relaxing, laid-back type of yoga, so even beginners can enjoy it,” says the producer Suzuki Takahisa. On the day of the event, there will be aromatic candles and house plants throughout the studio, and the room lights will be dimmed to create a “mystical atmosphere.” He said, “From the studio, we can also see the Ferris wheel of Amu Plaza, which will make the ambiance even more special.”

Shizuka from the studio will lead the candlelight yoga sessions. “In these sessions, we will focus on the Moon Salutation Yoga, a slow-moving practice that calms both the body and mind. It will take away the fatigue of the day and lead you to a night of comfortable sleep,” she explained.

She also added: “Participants will be surrounded by the gentle scent and light of aromatic candles while moving their body to pleasant music. I hope every one of them will have a relaxing time in an atmosphere far removed from their daily life.”

The event will be held from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Participation fee is 500 yen. Reservations are required and will be closed as soon as capacity is reached (10 people per session).
